Hello my friends!
I am so sorry that I haven't posted earlier :)
My name is Kaia (it rhymes with papaya and sounds like kayak) and I am 20 years old. I'm a student at the University of Colorado at Boulder studying vocal performance. I grew up in Colorado and i LOVE it here! I love being outdoors and hiking and doing intense things.
Today I went hiking in the snow with my friend (yes, it snowed here, in May!) and we both accidently slipped down probably a 20 or 30 foot drop off a Boulder (there are a lot of boulders in boulder) and it was scary! I landed on a tree! Haha, but it was fun. Wow, it's hard to know how to tell you about myself...
Another thing is that I LOVE music! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one! I love piano, singing and guitar and songwriting! And i LOVE worship! I am soo excited to learn from the Ugandans how to better worship God.

I have only been on one mission trip, last winter break to Costa Rica! We went to a slum called La Cuenca and it had a huge impact on me. It's funny though because before I even left, I was praying for this trip, asking God where he'd want me and hearing Africa. I ended up on this trip by signing up for a program at my church called Messenger where they pick the trip for you: and they chose this! I am thrilled to get you know you all and I know God has AWESOME plans for this summer. I am praying every day for it.
I don't know what else to say, but I know it will be awesome to meet you all in person
and get to know you all personally!
