Hey guys!  My name is Emily Gooding, and I'm an 18 year-old
from Roanoke, VA.  I'm about to finish my freshman year at Georgia Tech
(yay Atlanta!) in Polymer & Fiber Engineering.  I lived in Roanoke my
whole life, and grew up with two brothers whom I LOVE!  One is two years older (Andrew) and goes to
William & Mary, and one is two years younger (Will).  

My parents are divorced, but they both still live in Roanoke, so
I get to see a lot of them when I'm home. 
My dad remarried, and my stepmom's great!

I like reading, running, organizing, going on walks, learning, road-tripping,
board games, and spending time with people. 
I like to think I'm an introvert/extrovert combo – I need my alone time
but I need my social time too!  I LOVE
music, and pretty much all kinds.  I'll
listen to anything, and my absolute favorite thing is going to concerts.

I'm pretty straightforward with people, and if you ask me
something, I'll tell you honestly.  Sometimes
this gets me into trouble, but I'm trying to be a bit more conscious of good timing
and such.  I'm all about the freedom and
unconditional love of Christ, and I truly believe that His love can overcome ANYTHING.

I grew up in the church, so Jesus and I have been friends for a
while :)!  I've done a few mission trips,
including one to Chile after my junior year of high school.  I felt God pulling me toward this trip to
Uganda this spring, and decided I'd better listen and apply!  Now that I'm accepted, I can't wait to see
what he has in store for all of us!

I'm SO SO SO excited to meet all of you guys!  I hope everything is going well for ya'll, and
that God prepares ALL of our hearts for this summer!
