My name is Katie Threet! Nice to meet you! I've been on beautiful Mother Earth for 18 years and I will be 19 on Christmas Day. I live in Florence, Alabama.  I'm graduating in May, 6 days before I meet all of you guys! This fall I will be attending Mississippi State University. I plan on studying to become an elementary school art teacher! I know God has called my life into missions. This passion for His people consumes me. I want to serve God by serving others for the rest of my days on this Earth.

 

Besides my love for Jesus and His people, I'm on a constant mission to spread peace, love, and joy as far and as wide as I can. A happy person is a loving person, loving people make the world a better place. I also love the environment, art, music, camping, laughing, talking, family, friends, and traveling. Painting is a massive obsession of mine. It's the most soothing and personal experience when you can take elements that are all so different, and put them together to make a product that represents what you see in your own mind.

 

I think a lot. I'm not afraid to ask questions. Basically, I'm curious. God wants us all to have child-like spirits. I think that's a very important part in furthering my relationship with Jesus. I can't learn anything if I'm stuck in my own selfish ways. Children are like sponges; constantly asking, questioning, and yearning for what is the Truth. I want to know God inside and out because He knows me inside and out.  I have had my fair share of troubles in my life. God's been right there holding my hand all along the way.

 

I also can't wait to meet you guys! I'm praying for your financial support, our team unity, and all the preperation along the way to Africa.
